Synopsis

The digital era offers clear conveniences but can also lead people astray if reading and interpretive skills are not sufficiently developed. Against this backdrop, a community outreach effort centered on social interaction in Nglinggi Village is framed as a modest but purposeful step toward improving literacy, with a particular focus on digital literacy related to media ethics and recognizing online love scams. Such scams are increasingly common and tend to confuse both those who perpetrate them and those who become victims, highlighting the need for critical understanding in online encounters. The initiative aims to translate awareness into practical understanding, linking everyday digital behavior with ethical considerations and protective practices. The article presents knowledge sharing and ongoing dialogue as essential mechanisms for broadening access to information. The transmission of insights and the presence of continuous debate function as effective means for people to connect and to enhance collective knowledge. The climate of conversation, fostered by the committed involvement of local residents, indicates sustained interest and focus on the issue. By observing existing problems and following the trajectories of discussions with field experts, the study points toward digital literacy as a topic worthy of wider attention and suggests it should inform future programming and guidance. From these observations, the findings propose that digital literacy ought to become a shared priority and be incorporated into a layered educational framework. The goal is to deepen understanding and promote more optimal and positive use of the internet, ensuring that ethical considerations and practical competencies accompany digital navigation. Integrating digital literacy into the broader education curriculum would align local concerns with overarching educational aims, supporting residents in engaging with online spaces with greater confidence and responsibility.
